Position Title: Director of Venture Community
Schedule: Full Time
Location: Remote work but seeking candidate in Bay Area for local relationship building. Occasional travel for events
Supervisor: Chairman and Co-founder, Brock Mansfield
Salary: $95-110k
Benefits: Flexible PTO plus $500/month stipend for technology and health

Position Overview: The Director of Venture Community will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our community of venture capitalists, family offices, venture philanthropists and individual investors. This role requires a passion for the sustainable innovation ecosystem, a deep understanding of venture capital, and exceptional relationship management skills.
Community Growth & Retention:
- Drive community growth through recruitment and referrals.
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing members, understanding their investment preferences and commitments.
- Execute the annual membership renewal process and communications.
Program & Event Management:
- Act as the program administrator for sector cohort groups, managing communications, attendance, and engagement.
- Organize and host monthly rapid deal syndication events
- Plan and execute the annual ‘EnVision’ event in San Francisco.
- Maintain CRM database, tracking investment priorities, portfolio companies, and engagement levels.
Brand Management & Industry Engagement:
- Develop and implement communication strategies promoting EnVest’s mission, events, and initiatives.
- Ensure all communications remain consistent with EnVest’s branding guidelines.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and provide community members with the latest market insights and investment opportunities.
- Represent EnVest at industry events, conferences, and meetings, showcasing the organization’s commitment to environmental innovations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in building a strong, vibrant community
- 5-7 years in fostering engagement and building collaborative relationships, particularly within the investment community
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the venture capital ecosystem
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of start-up’s, particularly within the environmental space
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and facilitate events, both virtual and in-person

- Ability to work effectively at both high-level strategic planning and detailed execution
- Strong aptitude for creating and implementing efficient systems
- Exceptional networking skills for building and maintaining professional relationships
- Passion for innovation and working with the startup ecosystem
Reporting Structure: The Director of Venture Community will report directly to the Chairman and Co-founder.
